Oh my gosh! Actual photos of my Grey Warden Bethany costume so far. :O
We didn’t have much time today to work, but the jacket is getting there. The collar needs to be added (you can see the lining being painted in one of those photos), along with the belts and the lining, then the final details.
It has almost 300 1/4 inch pyramid studs in it. I will be so bling!
There’s also the work in progress with the tabbard too (TRYING to see if I can find some more of the blue sateen for it, so fingers crossed Jess can find some in Auckland for me, as Wellington ran out. D: )
And I’m 99% sure which staff I am making for her too. One of the MOST simple of them all, but I think simple will be nice.
Sylvie has been an AWESOME mentor throughout this whole project. There’s a reason I have been showering her with thank you art, after all.
…I also still have Fionna and Twilight Sparkle (and Spike!) to finish before the end of next month! Yikes!
This is looking fantastic! I hadn’t even thought of the idea of painting the scales on but it looks pretty damn good. Huh. I love all of the Bethany cosplay love :D
